Gregory J. “Greg” Repp, 76, of South Salem, NY, formerly of Katonah, died Sunday, June, 18, 2017 at Putnam Hospital Center.

Greg was born March 15, 1941 in Cornwall NY to the late Michael and Irene Repp.  He was a graduate of John Jay High School, Class of 1960.  Greg enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Glasgow, Montana and The Philippines.  Greg was honorably discharged, December 1964.

In September 1965, Greg began his career as a police officer with the White Plains Police Department, White Plains, NY.  After a decorated career, he retired as a detective in July 1986.  Greg worked as an owner/operator with Central Taxi until 1993.  He re-engaged in his career as a Security Officer at Northern Westchester Hospital, retiring again in January 2011, after 18 years.  Greg was a member of the Retired Police Association of White Plains and the American Legion, Post 1575, Katonah, NY.

Greg married his high school sweetheart, Barbara (nee Sammann) and was a beloved husband for over 57 years.  He is the loving father to Gregory, and his wife Elizabeth of Somers, NY, Christina of Mount Kisco, NY, and Laureen and her husband David of Brewster, NY.  Greg is the devoted grandfather to Duncan, Charlie, Robert, and Jack.  He is the brother of Michael A. Repp, Jr. and his wife Corinne of Brewster NY.  He also is survived by several nephews and nieces whom he adored.

Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, NY, Thursday, June 22 from 4-8pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s RC Church, 55 Valley Rd., Katonah, NY on Friday, June 23 at 10:00 am.  Internment will occur at a later date at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga, NY.
