He was my professor and at the time the person who I looked up to. I knew I wanted to be in the Criminal Justice field but he gave me different options I could use my degree in. We used to have lunch together and he would always share stories and guided me to where I am now a Probation Officer. Me and another student happened to talk about him at the SNYPJOA conference and the other student said he was the reason he became a Police Officer. We both agreed that he was the one that really played an impact in our lives and stated it has been awhile since we heard from him. I looked him up and my heart dropped to have learned of his passing. I couldn’t believe it and it felt like one of my own family member was gone. We lost a great person who made a difference and I’ll leave as he would say in class Love is a very splintered thing. My condolences to all his family and friends because I know he changed the world and losing him will definitely have changed us because we all now have a missing piece lost.

Robert was like a brother to me. I am devastated by this news. We grew up across the street from each other. My mother loved him so much. Chris and Paul were adorable children, way back in time. Robert was one person who was always there to help out during difficult times. I send love, and condolences to Jeanette, Christian, Sharon, Paul, Jourdan, and all the grandchildren. Bob was my senior man when I was first assigned to the NYSP, Troop K, SP Hawthorne in 1977. He was a great mentor. One of the things I enjoyed most about Bob was his sense of humor. Although I haven’t seen him in many years, I would list him as a significant person in my life. His accomplishments in life were so impressive. Please accept my sincerest condolences to his family and friends who loved him.

Words can not express the sadness that we, who knew and worked with Bob in the NY State Police, now share. I had the privilege of working with Bob at SP Somers for many years and have fond memories of our interacting with the public. Bob was one of the most intelligent Troopers that I ever worked with and he was always fair and compassionate when dealing with adverse situations that we all faced. My condolences to his immediate family as Bob will be missed by his State police family as well.
