Perhaps my all time favorite memory of Heff was at carnival set up many years ago. Heff was walking across the back field of the Katonah Fire Department and singing, “Star Wars, give me the Star Wars…. Something something Star Wars, give me the Stars” and as the song ends just as he reaches the parking lot and he shouts “CARTWHEEL” and he does the wonkiest cartwheel you’ve ever seen an adult male try attempt and then stands up with a huge smile and keep waking towards the firehouse like it was nothing, LOL. It was hilarious and is a story I have told countless time over the last 25 or so years since it happened. God speed Heff, you will be missed.
