Bill, Diana and Christina, Tom and I were saddened to hear of Marianne's passing and are sorry for your loss. Tom and Marianne would often joke about meeting at a "mixer" during Freshman Orientation. My years at Fairfield would not have been the same without Marianne's friendship and guidance. Bill, Diana and Christina, We all feel your loss of this wonderful woman. Marianne was one of a kind. I don't think I know of another person who was as giving as she was. She always had something wonderful to share and something kind to say. I am devastated at her passing so soon. I wish I had known she was so ill. She will be horribly missed. Love, JoAnn B.

Bill and family, sad to hear that Marianne has passed. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her. I have many fond memories of Marianne from college. In the fall of our freshman year, she was the first person I met. Heading to the campus center to join the dinner gathering, she smiled at me and invited me to join her and another new friend. I was grateful for her kindness and warmth and relieved to have a welcoming place to sit. Marianne had grace and charm. We sometimes called her ‘mother’ for her wise approach to college life. She was smart and mature, and I admired her goals and focus. Our friendship continued throughout college. We didn’t want to miss seeing each other during the summer break. Marianne graciously invited a group of us to Falmouth. Somehow between the responsibilities of our summer jobs, we made it to her family’s place and spent the night. We went to a Cape Cod drive-in, I guess in someone’s family car, seems like it was a station wagon. During college Marianne explored many things, like a semester in France and the love of Bill Lordi. It’s hard to think back at Marianne in college and not see Bill by her side. If I close my eyes for a moment, I can hear her hearty laugh and see her welcoming smile. May she rest in peace. I'm deeply saddened to hear of Marianne's passing. As an old friend of Bill, I have many fond memories of the times we shared. Whether it was our raucous post-college days as roommates or our unforgettable vacation to Martha's Vineyard with Jim and Paula, Marianne was always there, lighting up every room with her positive energy. I'll never forget the time Jim and I surprised Bill and Marianne with an unannounced "raid" on their Eastchester apartment, and Marianne's calm and patient reaction still brings a smile to my face. Marianne was a compassionate and intelligent woman, and it's no surprise that she was a great daughter and sister who went on to be an incredible wife, mother, aunt, and friend to many. Her trademark poise and patience were always present, whether she was dealing with our youthful shenanigans or navigating life's challenges. To Bill, his daughters, and the rest of Marianne's family and friends, please accept my deepest condolences during this difficult time. Marianne was a beautiful, kind, smart, and thoughtful wife, mother, sister and friend. She was engaging, articulate, fun, and most certainly brave. She was the best friend anyone could ask for.
