Sincere condolences to the Murphy family. Fond memories growing up with Thomas in Drogheda. We always gave him credit for introducing the skateboard to Drogheda and Ireland. As per the attached photo, Thomas lined out for the Wolfe Tones hurling club (far right on the back row)….. think it’s fair to say that he was the best looking chap on the team. RIP Thomas, our friend. The Gallagher Boys in Drogheda.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news of Tom’s passing. Tom will be dearly missed by all who knew and worked with him. His reliable management of projects on the job ( In my case, the Highline), was always graced by his levity and encouragement. Our common heritage was something we bothe held dearly, even as he would, tounge-in-cheek mock my “Protestant” name! Rest in peace Tom and “God Bless” - (as we would often end our conversation). Had the pleasure of chatting and seeing Thomas daily at 7-Eleven for many years. We always shared a good laugh , joke and talking about our kids. I would run into him many times around the City. Miss you friend.

The girls of 91 Tyler Street only had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Murphy one time, as we all helped move Clare into our home in Buffalo. We will forever remember his laugh as we carried in big boxes in the rain and his jokes about how strong we were for five little college girls.
