Jay M. Mosher Jr, 88, of Katonah, NY died peacefully at home on April 23, 2019, surrounded by his family.
Jay was born on March 19,1931 in North Elmsford, NY to the late Jay and Bertha (Springsteel) Mosher Sr. He was a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute receiving his B.S. in Civil Engineering. Jay was a U.S. Army veteran and aided in the reconstruction of the Korean Peninsula as part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1956-58.
He was the owner of Mosher Construction Co., retiring in 2017. Jay was a member and past president of the Somers Lions Club. He was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Katonah.
Jay is the beloved husband of Lois (nee Knapp) and the loving father of Jeffrey of Richmond, VA, Joyce Siemers (Charles) of Katonah, NY and Jean White (Mark) of Katonah, NY. He is the devoted grandfather of Gregory, Sarah and David. Jay is the brother of Arlene Siemers and Uncle to Bobby Siemers of Somers, NY.
Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Katonah, 31 Bedford Road, Katonah, NY on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
