I am writing this late, as I only recently learned of Paul’s passing.
Paul and Lindley were the first people to introduce themselves to my wife and I when we bought our first house in Bedford. They stopped by and welcomed us.
We were recent city implants and there was much about the new semi-country life we didn't know. Paul was so gracious to us.
He provided contacts for services, recommended places to shop, even a French bakery (He and my wife shared French Ancestry).
I lived a few houses down from the Thomassets for about 10 years, and Paul was always willing and ready to lend a hand or simply give invaluable advice.
One afternoon while having them over for coffee, Paul and Lindley entertained us with stories of Bedford’s past, our street’s history, and many other colorful elements of our town I would have otherwise never known.
Paul and Lindley had myself and my young (at the time) daughter over to their place for an afternoon coffee and snack. Despite my 3 year old daughter acting every bit a 3 year old, they remained so gracious and accepting, even giving her a tour of their lovely home.
Paul was a wonderful man with a huge heart, and an unrelenting passion for embracing the people and nature that surrounded him.
Bedford, and the world, lost a special one. Paul is greatly missed, but I know the lasting impressions he had on those he encountered will keep his spirit alive.

Hi all, I just wanted to say you’re all in my thoughts and prayers. It was truly a pleasure meeting Paul and getting to see the bits of himself and his personality. I know how important his family was to him and what a wonderful legacy he left in that. You guys did an outstanding job of making his final moments calm and peaceful while respecting his privacy, wishes and wants. He was so proud of you kids-he told me :) and you did everything right by him. Lindley, the love I was gifted to have seen between you two was beautiful. It was a pleasure to be let into your home and life during that difficult time. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate at all.
