Obituary of Audree B Farrington
In Memory of Audree B. Farrington
Audree, 96 years young, passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2025. Audree was born on April 15, 1928 in Ossining, NY. She was the daughter of the late Fred Borho and Gladys Borho (McGraw) of Briarcliff Manor, NY. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald R. Farrington for 44 years. She was the loving mother of Susan (Burt) Garlock of Montclair, Virginia and Cheryl (Amandio) Santos of Brewster, NY. She was a devoted grandmother to BJ (Sarah) Garlock, Donald Garlock, Kevin (Emy) Santos, Amanda Santos and a doting great grandmother of Gabriela, Kaylee, Makenzie and Chance Garlock. Audree is missed terribly by Ricky and Lucy, her affectionate pet chihuahua bodyguards.
Audree was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church for over 60 years. For most of those years, she was on the Altar Guild where she washed and ironed church linens, set up the altar for all services and special functions. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed taking care of her African Violets. She enjoyed special events especially at the Katonah Fire Department. As a stay at home mom, she was able to volunteer in her neighborhood, drive people to their doctor appointments, and help at school events. She was very involved in raising her grandchildren Kevin and Amanda, and all their friends called her Meena. She could be seen driving them everywhere and attending all of their events.
In her later years, she worked at Harvey Rink as a secretary. After retirement she enjoyed travelling with her husband, family, and friends.
Audree was a very special woman, loved by all she met. She was feisty, determined, and never gave up. She didn’t want to miss anything and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was sure to bring a smile to your face, make you laugh, and always make time for you. She was a people person and had many friends in Katonah. We feel blessed to have had her in our lives, and we will all miss her very much.
