Obituary of Peter B. Vinci
Vinci, Peter Benjamin “Pete” 81 of Pound Ridge, NY died February 24th, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital.
Pete was born on April 29th, 1943, to Eugene & Helen Elizabeth Vinci. He grew up in Port Chester NY and attended Porchester HS. Growing up the whole time incredibly close to his eventual wife Carol Tillinghast (Vinci). Pete was always busy, then and now, and made time for his friends and family (4 sisters- Jean, Helen Anne, Gloria, and Susan). He was one of a kind, caring, and would always make you laugh. Always a man of principle, lived his life on his terms, and was the “Real McCoy”.
Pete graduated Porchester HS and started working immediately. He worked many jobs including 24 years a proud Teamster truck driver. His hobbies grew over time into collecting antiques and scoring the best deals he could find. If there was a tag sale somewhere Pete would be the first there getting the best deal. He was a regular at Goodwill and ran a stall at Mongers in Bridgeport.
A quintessential family man, that is what mattered in life to Pete….
Pete was a beloved husband of Carol Vinci, a loving father to Peter, Pound Ridge, Paul, Trumbull CT, Mark, California, and Jennifer(Geane), Ridgefield, CT. The apples of his eyes were his grandchildren: Justin, Kayla, Jake, Tyler, Mila, Christopher & Samantha.
