Obituary of Maria Parenti

Maria Parenti, of Somers, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Northern Westchester Hospital.

Born on September 26, 1946, in Salerno, Italy, Maria was the beloved daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carmela Bevilacqua. At the age of 16, she immigrated to the United States, bringing with her a deep love for family, tradition, and the culinary arts.

A dedicated restaurateur, Maria was the proud owner of Maria’s Restaurant, first in Somers, NY, and later in Yorktown Heights, NY. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together through food, and her warmth, generosity, and hospitality left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Maria was the devoted wife of the late Nicholas Parenti and the cherished mother of Martin Parenti of Bedford, NY, Donna (Peter) Coletti of Carlisle, MA, and Nicholas Parenti of Somers, NY. She was a loving and proud grandmother to Julian, Nicholas, and Caroline.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY, on Saturday, March 22, from 8:30 to 9:20 A.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2 Green St, Mt. Kisco, NY, on Saturday, March 22, at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530.

Maria’s love, kindness, and passion for life will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those whose lives she touched.
