Obituary of Daniella Carlo

Daniella Carlo, 52, of Carmel, NY formally of the Bronx, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 23rd, 2025, at home surrounded by family. 

 

Daniella was born on August 4th, 1972, in the Bronx to Josephine and the late Americo Viscogliosi. She was the youngest of four sisters, the first to be born here in the United States. Daniella’s traditional Italian household instilled in her a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the importance of kindness—just some of the principles she carried with her throughout her life. 

 

Daniella received her Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University in 1994.  She continued her love for science receiving her nursing degree from The College of New Rochelle in 1996. Daniella worked as a Registered Nurse at both Sound Shore Medical Center and Putnam Hospital until she was forced to retire in 2008. Daniella was a natural in caring for others, finding joy and purpose in every life she touched. 

 

Daniella is the beloved wife of Michael and is the loving mother of Allessia & Gianna.  She is the devoted sister of Julia (George), Fran (Ronnie), and Margaret. Daniella is also survived by her nieces and nephews, including Gianrico, Isabella, Samantha, Nick, Madison, and Reese.  

 

Daniella was a pillar of strength and resilience, facing life’s challenges with unwavering determination and grace. Over the course of 19 years, Daniella knew hardship, but her struggle never defined her. She carried the weight of life’s challenges with quiet strength, never once complaining or seeking recognition for all that she went through. Her perseverance and unshakable spirit will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.  

 

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY, on Thursday, March 27, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James the Apostle Church, 4 Gleneida Ave, Carmel Hamlet, NY on Friday, March 28, at 11:30 A.M. 

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Believe Big Org.
