Obituary of Carolyn Sue Levy

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Levy (née Friedlander), 83, of Somers, NY, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025.

Born August 31, 1941 in New York, New York, to Irving and Edith Friedlander, Carolyn grew up in the Bronx, NY.

Carolyn pursued her education with dedication, earning a Bachelors degree from Hunter College and later obtaining a Master’s degree from Boston University. She went on to build a career as both a teacher and an accountant, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to her work. She cherished her time spent with her numerous dogs during the course of her life. 

Carolyn is survived by her beloved sons Andrew (Ann), Scott (Michelle), and Jonathan (Dana). She was a devoted grandmother of Aaron, Sophia, Lily, Jordan, and Samantha. She cherished her role as a grandmother, finding joy in the time spent with them. Carolyn is also survived by her dear brother, Martin Friedlander.

Carolyn’s strength and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
