Obituary of Mary Ann Mays

Mary Ann (Dolly) Mays, 100, of Yorktown Heights and Katonah, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Dolly was born in 1925 in Mt. Kisco, NY to her parents, Henry and Lillian Duffy. She graduated from Mt. Kisco High School in 1943 and went on to work for New York Telephone as a telephone operator for 44 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, known for her kindness, generosity and love of learning.

She is survived by her children George Mays (Pam), Marcia Williams (Don), her grandchildren Kenneth Rockwell (Marna), Tori Elyea (Brent), Brian Williams and her great-grandchildren Emma Benadof (Nick) and Paige Rockwell. She was preceded in death by her husband George.

Calling hours to celebrate Dolly’s life will be held on Monday, May 19, from 4 to 8pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 20 at St. Mary of the Assumption RC Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah.

Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville, NY
