Obituary of Terrence P. O'Reilly

Terrence P. O'Reilly, "Terry" 83, of Carmel, NY, formerly of Armonk, NY, died of natural causes Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Terry was born in Hoboken, NJ on January 17, 1942, to the late John and Henrietta O'Reilly.  Terry spent his formative years in Hoboken, NJ  and in Mt. Vernon, NY, with his beloved godparents Albert and Lucille Kraft, before eventually settling in Armonk, NY to raise his family with his wife Donna for over 25 years.

He graduated first from Iona College and then Fordham University School of Law, where he graduated in 1967 with his law degree. Terry worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan Homicide Bureau for over a decade, where he did much good for the public, made lifelong friends and collected a plethora of amazing stories. He later went into private practice in Manhattan and eventually moved his office to Mahopac, NY before retiring in 2015.

Terry is the devoted husband of Donna (nee Dell'Aquila) and is the loving father of Tracey (Tighe) O'Donnell, of Yorktown, NY, Michael of Somers, NY and Patricia (Nick) Pirraglia, of Brewster, NY. He is the caring grandfather of Caitlin, Abby, Elizabeth, Jack, Andrew, Gwen, Megan, Daniel, Erica and Brian. Terry is the brother of the late Rose Marie Barrett (nee O'Reilly). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, in addition to his loving caregiver and friend Margaret, who provided Terry with more love and happiness in the last year of his life than anyone could have ever expected.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27th from 2:00 to 7:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

A Prayer service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 28 at 11:00 am
