Obituary of Rose Kuhn

Kuhn, Rose 94, formerly of 31 Lakeview Road, North Salem, died peacefully Monday, May 26 at her home in Ridgefield, CT. 

Rose was born July 13, 1930 to the late Maria and Salvatore DeLuca. She is pre deceased by her brothers Adolph and Anthony DeLuca and her sister Theresa Collarile all of Yonkers, NY.

Rose was a devoted wife to her deceased husband Robert J Kuhn for almost 50 years and a beloved aunt, great aunt, and great, great, aunt to many, many nieces and nephews. She retired from New York Telephone Company in 1986.

"Aunt" Rose as she was known, loved her home and entertaining and cooking for family and friends alike. She is best remembered for her Thanksgiving “gatherings” often happily cooking for 20 or more. The more you ate the happier she was!!! 

Rose loved animals and during her life was “mother” to two Weimaraners “Brutus” and “Duke” and later a miniature poodle “Rusty”.  Rose also loved feeding the deer who greeted her every morning in her beautiful backyard often eating directly from her hand. When she was not cooking, she was knitting baby sweaters and hats to give away to children’s charities or anyone who needed them.

"Aunt" Rose was greatly loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.
