Obituary of Carol Santarpia

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Santarpia, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carol left this world on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the age of 90.

Carol was born on August 19, 1934, in the Bronx, NY, to Sophie and Anthony Cinque. Carol’s life was spent caring for her family who she cherished and was always ready to share stories of their lives together. From her years as a young daughter traveling with her father to the RKO theater where he was an engineer in White Plains, NY, to eloping to El Paso, Texas, young and in love where Jerry was stationed during the Korean War in 1953, to creating a life in East Harlem with her husband and daughters, to the Bronx, NY where she then raised her grandchildren in her beloved original home on Kingsland Avenue.

Carol is the beloved wife of the late Jerry, mother to Marie and her husband Frank, Kathy, and the late Gina, grandmother to Anthony and his wife Laura, Kara and her husband Anthony, Ricky, Jerry and his wife Corinne, and great-grandmother to Genna, Giulia, Nicolas, and Isabella.

Carol, better known as Mom and Nan, leaves behind a legacy rooted in love. She always cherished her love story and that lives on through those she leaves behind.

Carol will be reposed on her birthday, Tuesday, August 19, from 8:30 am – 9:30 am at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated afterwards at 10:00 am, at St. Joseph’s Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY.
