Obituary of Dorothy Patti

Dorothy Patti, 91, of Somers, NY, formerly of the Bronx, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 5^th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy lived a long, faith-filled life dedicated to service, education, and love. Before beginning her teaching career, she spent many years as a nun, devoting herself to her faith and helping others. Her deep sense of compassion and devotion carried through every chapter of her life.

A proud graduate of Fordham University, Dorothy earned her Bachelor’s Degree and went on to inspire generations of students as a beloved teacher at Primrose Elementary School in Somers, NY. Her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met, especially the children whose lives she helped shape.

Born into a large and loving family as the second youngest of 15 sibling, Dorothy was the last surviving member of her generation. A remarkable woman whose strength, faith, and warmth were the heart of her family.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews of multiple generations, as well as by her beloved stepson, stepdaughter, and cherished grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

Dorothy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the countless hearts she warmed. May she rest in eternal peace.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10^th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11^th, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY 10589. 

Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Route 202/Route 100, Somers, NY 10589.
