Mike and I were friends for nearly 70 years. We played every conceivable sport in the streets and public parks of New York City. None of us had much money as kids but we were wealthy beyond measure in our lifelong friendships and love of sports.
We went to Archbishop Molloy H.S. in Jamaica, Queens. Commuting early mornings and homeward bound in the early evening, we always had something to talk about and always shared lots of laughs. As upperclassmen in high school we dated young ladies who eventually became our wives. Mike and Kathy were both in our wedding party in 1971 and we continued to be friends all these years.
We have been both honored and blessed to call Mike and Kathy our friends. May God welcome Mike into heaven to once again rejoice in a blessed reunion with family and friends who had gone on before him and meet his loving creator to receive his just reward for a life of faith.
We understand the pain and sorrow of losing a loved one and lifelong friend. Our sincerest condolences on the loss of a loving husband, father and a friend to all.
Love never dies and memories never fade as long is his name is spoken and his generous life’s lesson live on in his students to pass on through countless generations.
We will pray for you and your family every day as we await our time to be with you once again.
