Obituary of Joan Johnson

Joan M. Johnson passed away at home on November 24th at the age of 93. She was the daughter of Martin and Agnes Finn and was born in Mt Vernon, NY. Joan had a long and successful career at American Can as an Executive Secretary. She and her beloved husband Bill enjoyed many years traveling together to their warm weather homes in Myrtle Beach S.C. and St. Petersburg, FL.

 

Joan was predeceased by her husband Wilbur K. Johnson (Bill); sister, Diane Finn; brother, Jim Finn; and niece, Erin Finn. She is survived by her nephews David and Steven Johnson, Jay, Sean, Christopher, and Shane Finn; as well as great-nephews Daniel Finn, Brian Falasco, Kevin Tanking, Eric, Patrick and Brandon Gray.

 

She also leaves behind nieces Tammy Gray, Deborah Falasco, and Tara Finn; her great-nieces Jennifer Pavlik, Katrina Falasco, Ashley Tanking, Shannon Gray; and sisters-in-law Ann and Terry Finn.

 

Joan was a proud member of the Brewster Elks, VFW, and the American Legion. She will be remembered as a strong, independent, and caring person.

 

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 3rd from 4 to 7 PM at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, NY.

The interment will be on Thursday, December 4th, at 9:30 AM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.
