Obituary of Dave Anderson
Dave Anderson, 78, of Pound Ridge, NY died on Dec 7, 2025 at home. He was born on October 8th 1947 in Port Washington, Long Island, and was the son of John (Jack) and Louise (née Blumberg) Anderson. He spent his first six years on Long Island before his family moved to East Lemon, Pennsylvania, seeking a simpler life.
Growing up in Pennsylvania, Dave worked the farm alongside his siblings, which instilled in him a lifelong pride in hard work and a job well done—from trimming the Christmas tree to the perfect point, to chiseling a stone for a flawless finish on a wall.
As a teenager in Pennsylvania, Dave met the love of his life, his joy, his everything: Lois (Boice) Anderson, who would become his wife of 58 years. Drafted into the Vietnam War at 19 where he would achieve the rank of E-5 Sergeant, Dave remained a lifelong patriot, a devotion that never wavered throughout his life.
While still serving, Dave and Lois welcomed their daughter, Vickey, and later their son, Davey Jr. After the birth of their children, they made the decision to move to Pound Ridge, New York, where they would remain for the rest of their lives.
Known in Pound Ridge for his hard work and dedication to the community, Dave passed these virtues on to his children and grandchildren. His greatest joy in life was his family—whether it was sharing coffee with his brothers or chasing his great-granddaughters around. To Dave, life was about loving your family, cherishing the quiet moments, and being together.
Dave is survived by his two brothers John and James, his two children Vickey and David Jr, his four grandchildren Elmir Jr., John, Liam and Kathryn, his four great-grandchildren Raelyn, Ella, Quinn and Harper, and his son in law Elmir Pasalic
A celebration of his life will be held in Spring of 2026.
