Obituary of Laura Imperatrice

Laura J. Imperatrice, of Somers, NY, (formerly of Jackson Heights, NY), died Sunday, January 4^th, 2026, at Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster, NY. She was 97.

Laura was born to Laura Iudicone Sinapi and Alfredo Sinapi (both of Itri, Italy) and raised on the lower East Side of Manhattan in New York City. She graduated from Mary, Help of Christians High School in Manhattan and worked at the Kinney Shoe Corporation as a comptometer operator.

Laura was predeceased by her beloved husband of forty-four years, Giovanni Imperatrice, of Sarconi, Italy. She was the loving mother of Michael John Imperatrice (Catherine) of New Fairfield, CT. She was the devoted grandmother of Dominic Bozzelli (Mary Kate) of Ridgefield, CT, Maria Bozzelli of Monroe, CT, and Anthony Imperatrice of Indianapolis, IN, as well as a great-grandmother to Jillian and Owen.

Friends and family may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY, on Thursday, January 8^th from 3:00pm – 7:00pm.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY, on Friday, January 9^th, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 7202 Astoria Blvd South, East Elmhurst, NY.
