Grace was my next door neighbor at The Residence on Summer Street for over two years. Our mutual love of books brought us together. She encouraged me to start a book club in our community and she became our first book club member. A long time member of other book clubs, she often suggested book titles for our group. Hers was a beautiful and kind spirit and I will miss her.

Our members from The Hopp Ground Garden Club have many fond memories Grace:
"Years ago when our holiday luncheon was soup and sandwiches, Grace would always volunteer to make the most delicious carrot cake. A lovely lady." -- Susan M
" I always enjoyed talking with Grace. What a lovely lady she was! My thoughts and prayers go out to the family." - Jeanie C
" So sorry to hear about Grace’s passing. She has been on my mind lately and I wondered how she was doing. She was a long time active member of our club and I remember her sitting and selling raffle tickets with her beautiful smile and friendly words. RIP," - Maria C
"I’m so sorry to hear about Grace's passing. I very much enjoyed our conversations and friendship throughout the years. Her beautiful smile and kindness will hold a special place in my heart ♥️" - Donna C
"The memory Grace and I always laughed about was when we worked on the holiday luncheon together. We were to make chicken salad. There were many ways to make it and Grace and I discussed which method to use. One method was to “boil” the chicken. Grace and I were horrified: boil? The chicken? Needless to say we picked another method. But whenever we’d see each other we’d ask “Have you boiled any chickens lately.” Grace, with her sense of humor and infectious laugh, made her a favorite. She will be missed." - Verna M
"So sorry to hear this sad news. Such a lovely lady and fun to be with. From St Thomas I will be there in spirit when you have the service." - Pam T
"What a cheerful and charming member she was! Always smiling and happy to be with. And, yes, her carrot cake was the best!
My best memory was being at a 9th district luncheon with a Hopp ground table and realizing I had forgotten to wear earrings with my nice outfit. Grace took hers off and handed them to me so I could look fully put together getting my 20 year certificate!! Such a sweetie,
Good to hear such nice memories," - Vicki M

I have nothing but fond and happy memories of Grace from the time I was a little kid. One memory I'm not sure Grace would even remember from a million years ago, but I vividly recall tagging along with her and some of her friends on a country road in North Salem when she was a teenager and we were all walking along and singing some popular songs of the day. Grace was always a capable, articulate person whose name defined her lovely demeanor. And she was fun to be with. I will miss her and wish her God-speed as she reunites with Phil after nearly twenty years. God bless her and her family.
