Obituary of Catherine Stinziani

Catherine “Cathy” Stinziani, 79, of Bedford Hills, New York, formally of Tarrytown, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on September 18, 1946, in Tarrytown, New York.

Cathy was a graduate of Sleepy Hollow High School and went on to pursue a career as a beautician.  She later devoted herself fully to raising her children, a role she cherished and embraced with her whole heart.

She is widowed from her husband Dennis, survived by her loving daughter Mary “Stinzi,” son Joe, daughter- in- law Josephine, and her two beautiful grandchildren Massimo and Giuliana.  Cathy shared an especially close and unbreakable bond with her daughter and played a major role in helping raise her grandchildren from a very young age, surrounding them with love, guidance, and warmth.

Cathy found great joy in her time at her Florida residence, where she loved basking in the sun, swimming in the pool, relaxing on her lanai with a cup of coffee, reading books and working on her crossword puzzles. She enjoyed walking along the beach collecting seashells and had a special love of butterflies.

She treasured times spent with her closest girlfriend, trips to Atlantic City, and many memorable stays in Poconos with her children and friends. A traditional mother at heart, Cathy loved to make pasta every Sunday, creating lasting family traditions and memories around the table.

Cathy was known for her kind heart, unwavering love, and constant support for those around her.  She was fiercely independent, strong-willed, and deeply loyal to her family and friends.  Her warmth, strength, and devotion will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd, Katonah, NY 10536 on Saturday January 31st, from 1 to 5pm.
