Obituary of Oronzo Pansini
Oronzo Pansini, (Enzo) 89, of Bedford, NY died Monday, February 16th, 2026 at Regional Hospice, Danbury, CT.
Enzo was born on October 21, 1936 in Giovinazzo (Bari), Italy to the late Michele and Anna Giulia Pansini.
He immigrated to Canada at the age of 15 years old and to the United States at the age of 21 years old.
Enzo is dearly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He lived for his family and would do anything for anybody. He was greatly driven and motivated by the love that he had for his family. He Enzo went from working in a soap factory in Canada to owning one of the most successful stone setting companies in NYC (Pansini Stone Setting, Inc.) Some of his landmark projects are Lincoln Center Plaza, South Street Seaport, Bryant Park, The Jewish Museum, Battery Park City, and The Police Memorial.
He also built his own homes starting from when he was 21 years old in the Bronx, NY, then in Crestwood, NY in 1967, and his final home in Bedford, NY in 1987.
Enzo was a wine enthusiast with a passion to learn about and enjoy fine wines. He loved sharing his knowledge and igniting the passion in his family members. He was an avid sports fan ESPECIALLY FOR NY TEAMS: NY Giants, NY Yankees, NY Knicks, NY Rangers.
Enzo is the beloved husband of Maria (nee Pietrantonio) and is the loving father of the late Michael (Elisa), Anna Julia (Marco) and Frank (Renee). He is the devoted grandfather of Alexandra (Howard), Marc, Julia, Bridget, Laura (Alexander), Maria, Natalie, Christina, Isabella, Sofia and Enzo and two great grandchildren Avery and Luca.
Enzo was predeceased by his siblings Mario and Sofia and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s RC Church, 7 Pound Ridge Rd, Bedford, NY on Friday, February 20 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken in Gladwyne, PA on Saturday, February 21 at 12:00 noon.
