Obituary of Robert C. Rosenberg

Robert C. Rosenberg “Rosey” 84 of Manhattan, formerly of Rye Brook, NY, died Friday, May 22nd, 2026 in his upper east side apartment. He is survived by his former wife, Dyan Rosenberg of North Salem, NY, the mother of his children; his daughters, Stacy Rosenberg and Julie Rosenberg; and his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Beth Rosenberg. He will be remembered as a loving and hands-on father to his children, and devoted grandfather to Matt and Kara Rosenberg, Aly and Dan Bondy, Lexi Rosenberg, and great grandfather to Olivia Bondy. Robert is also survived by his two nieces, Melissa Carey and Jennifer Wilkinson.

Robert was born in 1941 in the Bronx to the late William Rosenberg and Mildred Berliner. Robert was the younger of two children, of his late sister, Roberta Carey. He attended the University of Miami where he met and thereafter soon married, Dyan.

Robert was a Bronx Real Estate Magnate for many years in a long-standing family-run Real Estate business with his son Joseph Rosenberg and now his grandson, Matt Rosenberg, until his retirement in 2021. He was known for being a passionate leader to a loyal team of employees, professional colleagues and peers, and was revered by those he mentored and supported throughout his career. He served as member to locally professional Bronx Real Estate organizations for developers, including New York Apartment Association (NYAA) formerly CHIP community housing improvement program and Rent Stabilization Association (RSA), on which he sat on the Board of Directors, and Bronx Manhattan North Association (BMAR).

In addition to his many professional accomplishments, and dedication to his family, Robert was a gifted athlete, lover of sports, music, fine food, and great conversation.

Friends and family may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, NY on Wednesday, May 27th from 11:00AM to 12:30PM. Internment will follow for the immediate and extended family.
