Obituary of Donna M. Lask

Donna Marie (DeVito) Lask, a resident of Somers, NY, formerly of Katonah, NY, passed away on May 30, 2026 surrounded by her loving children.

Donna, 76, was born to the late William J. and Florence A. (Moccio) DeVito in Mount Vernon, NY. She was raised in Yorktown Heights, NY and upon graduating from Yorktown High School in 1967, went on to earn her Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Illustration and Design from The School of Fashion Design in Boston, MA.

Donna was beautiful inside and out, possessing a magnetic personality and a smile that truly lit up every room she entered. Guided by her lifelong Catholic faith, she quietly lived the values of the Church through her immense kindness, generosity, and caring nature, always looking for ways to uplift those around her. Donna also held a deep affection for animals, a reflection of her gentle and compassionate heart.

Donna was a gifted artist and creative talent, with a keen eye for style and design. She channeled her degree into a vibrant early career in fashion, modeling, and advertising. When her children were born, they became her central focus, and she gracefully transitioned into other professional roles over the years. Throughout it all, she maintained a fiercely independent spirit and an exceptional work ethic.

Later in life, she recaptured her creative sensibilities, turning her talent for baking into a small baked goods business. Donna loved nothing more than entertaining family and friends, filling her home with warmth and hospitality. An enthusiastic spirit, she was also a huge sports fan (go Yankees!) and a lover of trivia (avid Jeopardy! watcher). Donna enjoyed a lifelong passion for the arts as well as gardening, finding great joy in cultivating beauty all around her.

Donna’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a deeply loving and devoted mother and is survived by her children: her daughter, Melissa P. Lask of Bronxville, NY; her son, Andrew J. Lask Jr. and his wife Cecilie (Carnes) of New York, NY; and her daughter, Jessica A. (Lask) Marino and her husband Nicholas of Bronxville, NY. She was the incredibly proud grandmother to her four cherished grandchildren: Lincoln M. Marino, Sutton E. Marino, Vaughn W. Marino, and Paige-Claire G. Lask.

Donna is also survived by her brother-in-law, William J. O’Brien, and her beloved nephews and nieces: William J. O’Brien Jr. of Carmel, NY; Michael P. O’Brien and his wife Meghan of Carmel, NY; and Megan E. Murphy and her husband Andrew of Ridgefield, CT.

She was predeceased by her beloved siblings, her sister Diane C. O’Brien and her brother William J. DeVito, Jr. Her family takes great comfort in knowing they are reunited in God's care.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY 10536.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY 10536. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
