Obituary of Peter O. Albano
Peter Orlando Albano passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, in his lifelong home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on January 10, 1943, in the Bronx, New York, Peter was the son of Mario and Ida Albano. He spent his entire life in one home in Bedford, New York, and graduated from Fox Lane High School, where he met the love of his life, Beverly Ann Hackert.
Peter and Beverly were married on July 27, 1963, and shared nearly 63 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on love, devotion, respect, and family. Their enduring partnership was an example to all who knew them.
Peter was the founder of Albano Carpentry, a family business he later shared with his son, Anthony. Through his craftsmanship, he left a lasting mark on homes and projects throughout the Tri-State area.
Peter loved traveling throughout the United States and around the world alongside those he loved most. Whether exploring a new destination, hiking, cross-country skiing, or simply playing Wiffle Ball in the backyard with his grandchildren, he was happiest outdoors.
Cape Cod held a particularly special place in Peter's heart. For many years, he spent treasured time on its beaches surrounded by Beverly, their four boys, and eventually their daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The Cape quickly became a gathering place for the family. Peter's love for Cape Cod was something he passed on to his children and grandchildren.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Albano; his four sons, Anthony (Kelly), David (Susan), Michael (Beth), and Joseph (Kristin); his twelve grandchildren, Julia (Michael), Kora (Patrick), Aimee, Benjamin (Jillianne), Melissa (David), Christopher, Cameron, Thalia, Harrison, Timothy, Salvatore, and Lucia; and his two great-grandchildren, Calvin and Peter.
Family and friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY 10536, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY 10536. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Mianus River Gorge or Westmoreland Sanctuary.
