Obituary of Jacqueline M. Schnorrbusch

 Jacqueline M. Schnorrbusch joined her beloved husband, Joseph in Heaven on August 6, 2026. 

     Jacque' was born in Paterson, NJ and attended school in Totowa Boro, NJ.  She graduated with a BS and MA in Education from William Paterson College.  She began her teaching career in Oakland, NJ.  When her daughters were born, Jacque' became a housewife and mother until her husband bought Mt. Pleasant Ice Cream in Thornwood, NY. The family moved to Amawalk, NY and Jacque' continued her teaching career in Somers, NY.

     When their daughters were in High School, she was elected President of the adult chapter of A.F.S. and during her tenure the family hosted a girl from Chile, Ximena Torrejon. It was a wonderful year with her!

     When her oldest daughter Emily attended the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn Jacque' became Vice President of the parents’ group and with a colleague wrote the Coast Guard Parents Handbook which is still in use today.

     After retirement, Jacque' and her youngest daughter, Maribeth became Directors of the Birthright office in Yorktown, NY helping many young women and their children.

     Jacque' is survived by two daughters, Maribeth (Chris) Abrenica of Somers, NY and Emily (Peter) of Maryland.  She has six grandchildren, Christina and Michael Abrenica, and Maria Wolfe, Joseph, Sarah and Mary Catherine Meyers. She is preceded in death by her brother Frank Bergmann of Atlanta, GA.

     Jacque' will be missed for her love for her family and also for her terrific sense of humor.

     A viewing will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 4-8 PM.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celecbrated at St. Joseph Church in Somers on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:30AM.  Burial will follow at Amawalk Cemetery reuniting her with her husband.
