Obituary of Caroline Dellicarri

Caroline Dellicarri peacefully passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on Saturday, October 19^th.  She was 87 years old.

Caroline was born in the Bronx on May 14, 1932, the first daughter of James “Ralph” DeSalvo and Anna (Volpe) DeSalvo.  She was a proud graduate of Evander Childs High School, where she made a number of lifelong friends.

On September 5, 1954, Caroline married Vincent Dellicarri, with whom she spent 59 wonderful years, up until his passing in September of 2013.

Caroline is survived by her beloved sister, Jean and Bob LaGravinese; by her two daughters, Linda Campbell and Jeanne Dellicarri-Delgado; by a son, Anthony Dellicarri; by daughter-in-law Ginny Dellicarri; by sons-in-law Doug Campbell and John Delgado; and by grandchildren Allison and Michael Dellicarri, Kyle Campbell, and Madison and Mia Delgado.  Her grandchildren were the lights of her and Vincent’s life.

Caroline loved the simple things in life.  Nothing made her happier than being with friends and family around the table, sharing a meal and many stories.  These occasions became even more special to her as the grandchildren came along.

In Caroline’s honor, a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY, followed by burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery in White Plains, NY 10920.
