Dr. Barry A. Kassel, May you Rest In Peace.
I first met Dr. Kassel in the ER at Northern Westchester Hospital. His demeanor was professional and comforting and his first comment to me was — we are not operating hot. I’m going to make it so that you get to pick when you have your surgery— and he did just that. Dr. Kassel operated on me a few times and at every visit my husband and I would bring him Italian pastries. I remembered how he’d laugh and comment — what are you guys trying to make me fat!
To his family, I am sorry for your loss. Your husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, etc. was a wonderful man. I am proof positive how great he was.
