Obituary of Biagio Riina

Biagio (Gino) Riina, of Yonkers, NY (lived in Buford GA for 20 years), passed away on Saturday May 30, 2020 at the age of 85.  Son of Giuseppe and Antonietta, Italian immigrants, Gino was born in Corleone, Sicily in 1934.  Along with his parents, he moved his family (four brothers, Carlo, Sal, John and Tony) to America in 1955 with the dream of a better life. 

It was at night school, to learn English, where he met the love of his life Florence (Fiorina) Martirano.  He married Fiorina on July 29, 1956 and started to build a life in Yonkers. 

Gino was a builder and had a love for the outdoors.  He is known for having a green thumb and could grow just about anything, anywhere.  Gino’s top priority was always his family. 

He is survived by his beautiful wife, Fiorina and his four children, daughter Antionette and husband Louis; daughter Josephine and spouse Ron; son Joseph and his wife Anjanet; and his baby girl daughter Gina.   Gino will be especially missed by his seven grandchildren, Kristina, Erica (husband Steven), Sophia, Gino, Natalie, Ava and Anthony. 

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 3, from 3pm-7pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

Entombment will follow on Thursday, June 4 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY. Due to the circumstances there will be immediate family only.
