Obituary of Anne B. Milone

     Anne B. Milone a long-time resident of Pound Ridge, NY, passed away at the age of 94 on
Friday, July 28, 2023 in the comfort of her home.
    Anne was born on November 25, 1928, in New York City to the late Lucy and Frank Cerniglia.
She was a Julia Richmond high school graduate in New York City, and a short time later she
married Vincent, and they were married for 70 years, he passed in 2019.
    Anne and Vince moved to Pound Ridge in 1960, and while raising her 4 children, she
went back to college and received a BSN in nursing from NYU. Anne started her nursing career
at Grasslands Hospital (now Westchester Medical Center) where she managed the newly
created Cardiac Care Unit. She was then employed by Stamford Hospital in Connecticut, where
she earned her Master’s in Nursing Administration, and continued on to be their V.P. of
Nursing. She then continued her career at the Mount Kisco Medical Group, and managed the
OBGYN phone center, where she retired in 2012 at the age of 83.
    When Anne was 12, she was the Jacks champion of her city block, a highly coveted title
back then. She was also an avid tennis player who was instrumental in organizing tennis teams
at the Pound Ridge Town Park, as well as being a very early member of the Pound Ridge Tennis
Club. Anne adored music, and fulfilling her retirement studied piano at the Julliard School of
Music. Her love of cooking was ever-present, and she passed this joy and passion onto her
children.
     Anne is survived by her 4 children: Karen, Keith, Chris, and Colin, and 3 grandchildren:
Travis, Morgan and Jacob, and her dogs Sasha and Jasper.
