My daughter was a student of Ms. Sherry´s at Wren Middle School and they connected immediately. Daily I would hear stories of talks she and Olivia had that day or some cool lesson plan they were doing. It was common for Madison to pull a chair up beside her desk and talk once she´d finished her work daily and those talks were something Madison cherished and will continue to cherish all of her life. Being a 14 year old girl in middle school is hard and Madison saw Ms. Sherry as a role model, a mentor and a friend. Madison often said she hoped to exchange phone numbers with Ms. Sherry once she was no longer her student because they truly did hit it off as friends. They´d speak of their love of books and history and Madison would hug her hello each day. I want you to know how much she meant to our daughter and how she will always love those special memories together. She made a difference in Madison´s life and made her feel special and valued during those formative and hard middle school years. Ms. Sherry was loved and we will never forget the impact she had on Madison. Our prayers are with all of this incredible woman´s family and friends.

Olivia worked as a strategic mentor for Clemson’s Athletic Academic Services Program for the last 4 years. Words cannot express how much Olivia meant to our program, our staff, and our student-athletes here at Clemson. Over the last 4 years, we got to witness her tremendous growth not only as a strategic mentor, but as an educator and strong young woman. She had an incredible sense of humor and persistence to engage even the most reluctant students so that by the end of their time working with her, they actually enjoyed doing school work. She had a positive impact on so many of our student-athletes and fellow strategic mentors. We could always count on Olivia with her contagious smile and eagerness to be a role model for our students and staff. Every Sunday when we walked in the door for training or appointments, Olivia would be there, ready to make you laugh and turn anyone’s bad mood around. Her passion for working with students and dedication to teaching inspires us to be the best educators that we can be. We are blessed to have worked with Olivia over the last 4 years. - The Staff of Clemson’s Athletic Academic Services Program

Olivia,
You were a coaches dream, you were dependable, respected amongst your peers, and a first down for every 3rd and 1 our program would face. You made Kennedy feel like home for a Coach in a strange place. You made Kennedy brighter each and every day, for that I thank you. We will move on with you in our hearts forever, the impact you had on myself and the program will never be forgotten. Your kind and gentle soul is an example for all of us and I promise I will live my life with the memories of you and all you did for the people around you. We love you!
Sincerely,
Coach Tassone

I was Olivia’s junior year AP English teacher at Kennedy Catholic HS. I have wonderful memories of her. She was never afraid to speak up, always ready to lend a hand, and I was so happy when she was elected to student gov. A real spitfire full of energy, love, and compassion. Her smile was contagious. Rest in the Sweetest of Peace Olivia and love and prayers to your family and friends.

Olivia Sherry was one of my closest friends in high school and there was never a dull moment when she was around. She was a bright light and an amazing friend. I’m honored to have known her and been friends with her. My favorite memories with Sherry was color wars, our lunch gossip sessions, and our hangouts after school. I will forever cherish our friendship and I hope you rest easy <3

Olivia was in my kindergarten class. I was her Teaching Asst. I remember a bubbly, sweet, and beautiful girl. Olivia loved learning, loved her classmates and teachers. She was excited everyday to be in school. I loved her family and Olivia! I was so glad to hear of her achievements at Kennedy Catholic. What an exceptional young lady! After learning of her accomplishments at Clemson I am in awe! Olivia achieved more in her young years that many do in a lifetime. I’ll always remember Olivia. I’ll keep her in my memory as a special girl that did wonderful things.

Olivia was a shining star at St Patrick's. I always remember her smile and her sweet personality, her goodness and her willingness to help in any way. She was not only an outstanding student in our CCD program, but she returned as an incredible aid and helped many second graders prepare for their sacraments. Her faith was so important to her, and her desire to share it with others set her apart. Olivia was a reflection of the goodness of her parents and her beautiful family. I keep you all close in prayer. -Kelly Vardakas
