To Matt, Heather, Ben & Harry & Mary Ann, Vinny & Howie came to my hometown in 1970 with their college roommate, Joe Purcell, my best friend. Vinny was a celebrity in Pottsville PA ever since. He made a positive impact on everyone he met and we will never forget him. I loved Vinny and Jill and will remember forever the good times we had with them. Will talk to ya!

Vinny and Jill were such a big part of our childhood. They taught us how to ski, even if that meant purposely dropping the pole on the lift so Vinny would have to get it. They brought us to the beaches in Long Island and everywhere we went Vinny would always tell us to call him grandpa so he would get the senior citizen discount.. it worked every time. They would always have Christmas parties where Vinny played the saxophone and we loved it. All the times we hung out with them I never didn’t laugh hysterically. Vinny & Jill, I miss you❤️

Vinney and Jill were more than friends, they were family we shared many dinners and celebrated many events together.They were a huge part of our kids childhood never missed a milestone.We are very fortunate to have had them in our lives. Jill would always bring a home baked goody and Vinney would always have his great sense of humor. I can’t imagine not hearing that laugh anymore. We will miss you both and love you.

Every time & any where I saw Vinny he would say my name aloud in his familiar booming voice - ITS BILL D’Eletto ….When I attended Jills Funeral with my wife I went to greet Vinny. He smiled & said Its Bill D’Eletto. Well Vinny Its Bill D’Eletto saying goodbye and please know I have said the Divine Mercy Chaplet for your soul and St Gertrudes prayer for your soul and Jills soul too. If I make it to heaven I expect to hear your voice welcome me with Its Bill D’Eletto - I would like that a lot

I have know Vince for 52 years through the “shmata” business. The description within the obituary could not be more correct. It captures Vince perfectly. I will miss our almost daily phone calls and his forever “glass half full” attitude. Barbra and I were able to enjoy time with Vince and Jill and know they will be holding hands walking on Arthur Avenue shopping and eating chicken scarp at Enzo’s. He will be missed.
