Remembering Tom Molito by Robert DiYanni Tom Molito was a very special guy— Sui generis—one of a kind—truly mellow. What can we say of this fine fellow? Tom seized each moment as a personal treasure. He had his say, he danced his day, with pleasure. His joy was full, his love profuse, unending. Tom’s friendship brought heartfelt happiness to all. A man at ease with himself, Tom was a treasure. We are still trying to take his measure. Cabin Fever wasn’t Tom’s only fever. Lonesome Dove and The Little Rascals, Among his hits were much more than clever. Tom’s interests were strong, his love long, enduring— Family first, then music, films, and sports, baseball In abundance, the heart of his rich life’s treasure. Tom loved his Yankees, best of all the Mick, Subject of his charming, amicable memoir. But Mantle’s friendship was no match for Tom’s family— Wife Kathleen, son Luke, daughters Christine and Laura, and his beloved grandchildren. Tom deeply prized the love of those held dear. We relish Tom’s singular personality. We celebrate his distinctive vivacity. We cherish his warm cordiality. And we’ll always treasure Tom’s memory.
