Obituary of Allan David Dart, Jr.

Allan David Dart, Jr., 49, of Lindenhurst, NY formerly of Bedford Hills, NY, left this world to be with Our Lord on September 2, 2024

Allan was born in Mount Kisco, NY, June 12, 1975.

His love of family and friends was beyond comparison.

He grew up in Bedford Hills and was a graduate of Fox Lane High School and Hofstra University.

Allan was formerly employed by Starlog Publications as an Editor and he was also a Freelance Editor.

Allan is the beloved son of Allan, Sr. and Lucetta and he is the loving brother of Carrie Dart of Stafford, VA. He is also survived by his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and his best friend: Paula Uruburu.

Allan was an accomplished marathon runner having competed in Chicago, Hartford and Bedford Hills.

Allan was an avid fan of the NY Mets, Green Bay Packers, NASCAR and Dirt Modified Racing. Allan and Carrie share a passion for the Mets and watched games together and both loved Shea Stadium.

Allan’s mother wants all to know about him: Allan David inherited his passion for all creatures big and small from the time he was a young boy and he observed his mothers’ interactions with the many animals that she rescued and cared for.

When he left home to live in Long Island, he made friends with wild squirrels that he fed and nurtured with peanuts and bird seed. He made sure each were well fed. One special squirrel would tap on his door and jump on his lap.

Allans special send off in conversation was: “I am my mother’s son”.

He was patient and gentle with all the animals.

This is a poem that completes his mothers’ personal and loving son: “ Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed , so very dear.”

Rest in peace Allan, you are loved by all.

Memorial Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 3 to 7 pm, at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Brudge Road, Katonah, NY
