Obituary of Peyton Robyn Feder
Peyton Robyn Feder, a bright light who brought joy to everyone she met, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.
Born a little early on a celebratory day, December 31, 2002, in Boston, MA, Peyton was a fighter from the start. Though she faced complex medical challenges throughout her life, her spirit remained radiant.
Peyton's smile could light up a room. She loved upbeat music, spending time with dogs, and rocking vibrant clothes, especially anything purple, pink, or tie-dye. One of her greatest pleasures was listening to the beautiful singing voices of others.
Peyton leaves a large, loving family who will cherish her memory forever. Her parents are Allison Berger Davis and Robert Davis, and Kevin Feder and Kira Feder. She is also survived by her siblings: Joely Feder, Kayla Feder, Liam Gorbutt, Dayna Gorbutt, Alexander Davis, and Nathaniel Davis. Grandparents Sharyn Feder and Dr. Avram S. Berger and Kathleen Sauter will also miss her dearly.
Peyton attended schools in Redding, CT, Amherst, MA, and Bethel, CT. At Bethel Middle School, she earned the affectionate nickname "The Mayor" for her friendly personality. Her family is incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and support she received from her teachers and school nurses.
For nearly seven years, Elizabeth Seton Children's Center served as home to Peyton. The staff there provided exceptional care with love, compassion, and respect. Peyton earned the title "Director of Fun," which genuinely captured her sparkling spirit. Even without the ability to walk or talk, Peyton's needs were always prioritized and advocated for by her amazing caregivers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Peyton's memory to Elizabeth Seton Children's Center.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 am at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah, NY. Visitation begins at 10:00 am. In celebration of Peyton's love for color, all are welcome to wear pink, purple, or tie-dye to the service.
