Obituary of Allan Paul Ross

Allan Paul Ross (aka Country Al) of Waccabuc, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 3rd at Westchester Medical Center surrounded by his wife and children. Allan was born September 2nd, 1941, in Los Angeles to Bernard Herman Ross and Florence Ross.

Country Al grew up with a passion for words and music which he utilized as composer/lead guitarist with the band, Evergreen Blueshoes.  In 1982, he moved to New York and joined J. Walter Thompson as Music Director.  A resident of Waccabuc since 1984, he started AR Music (Allen Colucci & Ross) and wrote zany radio ads, winning numerous awards in the Hudson Valley and Westchester.

Allan was husband to Marion Gottmann Ross of North Salem and father to sons Ben and Max Ross of Brooklyn, NY.  Despite a gruff exterior, Allan had a great sense of humor and a kind, gentle heart that only the lucky got to witness.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah NY on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11am to 2pm, with a service at 12 noon.
