Obituary: Marni Rosenblatt admin Marni Jo Rosenblatt, 81 of Somers, New York passed away on January 30, 2018. She is survived by her husband Richard, Debbie Negrin, and Dave Rosenblatt. She is also survived by four grandchildren, namely, Morgan Negrin, son of Debbie and Jordan, and Jessica, Jennifer, and Matthew Rosenblatt, children of Dave and Gwen. Marni was born on June 21, 1936 in Queens, New York, daughter of the late Celia and Henry Paley. After graduating as high school valedictorian in Kingston, New York, Marni attended M.I.T. and studied mathematics. Marni also attended Barnard College and the City College of New York. She also received a Masters degree in mathematics from Fordham University, which she attended on a full scholarship. Marni also received a grant from the National Science Foundation to study mathematics at Colgate University. Marni began teaching mathematics at the George Washington High School in Manhattan. In 1969, she began teaching at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, New York. She taught mathematics there until 1994 when she retired. Marni also authored numerous mathematics books. Marni was a devoted and beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. When she wasn’t teaching (or tutoring) mathematics, she was enjoying time with Richard, gardening, playing the piano, or sewing a tapestry or Halloween costume for one of her grandchildren. Marni is dearly missed by all those who knew her.
