Obituary of William J.

Gleason, William J., “Bill” 56, died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Bill is the beloved husband of Cynthia and is survived by his mother, Arlene Gleason of Palm City, FL; his sisters: Kathleen (Thomas) Rupp of St. James, NY and Barbara Gleason of New York, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, William J. Gleason, his sister, Patricia Gleason Fairbanks and his brother, John J. Gleason. Bill, a graduate of Sienna College, was the CFO of Ironshore Insurance in New York. He was an avid golfer and a proud and long suffering Met fan who always had a sarcastic reply ready for all. His quick wit was legendary. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY.
