Obituary of John W. Kennedy

Kennedy, John W. “Jay”, 39, of Brewster, NY, formerly of Purdys died suddenly on Monday, October 2, 2017. Born in New Rochelle, NY on September 14, 1978, he was the son of William Kennedy and the late Mary Ann Fediw Kennedy. Jay was the beloved of Liane V. Watkins and the devoted godfather of Ann McNamara and Oscar Watkins. Jay was musically gifted vocally and on the piano. Jay performed for many years at services in the old St. Joseph’s gym. Jay loved being on stage and performed with bands and at karaoke all around the world. Jay had an amazing sense of humor although as he often said “some of these jokes are just for me.” Jay made friends where ever he went and had friends all over the world. Jay loved his friends, family Liane and the NY Yankees. Go Yankees! Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. on Friday, October 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY on Saturday, October 7th at 9:00am followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave., Hastings on Hudson, NY.
