Obituary of David W. Brown

Brown, David W. died peacefully December 19th at his home in Katonah, NY. Born June 29th, 1927 in Mt. Kisco to the late David and Jesse Brown. He was raised by his maternal Grandmother, and with his father’s permission enlisted under age in the Navy to participate in WW II. From there he went to school on the GI bill and graduated with a BSME from Tri-State College of Engineering. He was an engineer for the rest of his long life. Along that life path, he married Anna Marie Lavelle of Bedford Hills. They had three children, two boys and a daughter. In 1971, he became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He traveled far and wide; succeeded in achieving more than most professionally and personally. Dave was a kind, thoughtful, spiritual, humble and generous man to a fault. He was much loved by family, the community and his congregation. He will be missed by all. He is grandfather to Danielle, Meredith, David and Doug and great grandfather to Austin. Dave was the brother of Marge (deceased), Doris & Dick of Katonah, Jeff (deceased), Debbie of Marco Island, FL and is survived by several nieces & nephews. Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home 4 Woods Bridge Rd, Katonah, NY on Wednesday 21st from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral and burial will be on Friday December 23rd at 10:00 am for family only. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Kisco, NY.
