Obituary of Robert E. Furman

Robert E. Furman, 91, formerly of Katonah, NY died on Thursday, April 19, 2019. 

Bob was born in New York City to the late Edwin and Louise Furman. 

Bob served in the Navy during WWII, which was followed by a long career at IBM.  Bob was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s Church in Bedford, NY and was active in local civic affairs, most notably as a member of the Wetlands Commission in Bedford. 

Bob was married to his wife, Jane, for 50 years before her death in 2007.  Bob was the proud father of Susan Furman Walter and grandfather of Thomas, James and Timothy Walter. 

A service celebrating Bob’s life will take place at St. Matthew’s Church on Saturday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m.
