Obituary of Elizabeth E. Lucas

Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Lucas, wife of Warren Bloomer Lucas died Monday morning at her home in North Salem, NY.  She was 98.

She was one of nine children raised by Mary and Thomas Hassett who emigrated from County Clare, Ireland. Betty attended the Ursaline Academy and Fordham University. She worked in the Engineering Department of the NY Central Railroad. She was a loving wife and mother, a gifted artist, and active in both church and community affairs.

Betty has five children, Warren Lucas, Kathryn Lucas, Mary (Lucas) Cooper, Diana (Lucas) Hewlett, Thomas Lucas, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation hours will be at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, New York from 2 to 4:00 pm and 7 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 24th. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 25th at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, New York.
