Jay and his beloved wife of 54 years, Faye, raised their family first in Michigan and then Somers, NY.  They enjoyed family vacations to Blue Lake, Fountain, MI, Newfound Lake, NH and East Orleans, MA. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling with Faye and friends.  He and Faye spent the last nine years living at Woodland Pond in New Paltz, NY.

A man of deep faith, Jay was a long-time member and elder at Katonah Presbyterian Church, and he was very active in the Presbytery of Hudson River.

Jay loved classical music and to sing.  He sang in the church choir, was a member of the Master Singers of Westchester County for many years and the Woodland Pond choral group the Pondoliers. Jay was a member of the Paltz Club and was serving as president at the time of his death.  Jay was a voracious reader, an excellent cook, and enjoyed dining with friends and family.
