Obituary of Eleanor LaMotta

LaMotta, Eleanor, 109, of North Salem, NY formerly of Somers, NY, died on November 6th.

Eleanor was born in New York City on October 13, 1909. She was one of nine children.  She was educated in NYC schools and studied clothing design. Her love of sports included field hockey and swimming.

Eleanor met Frank, the love of her life while working at as a bookkeeper for her brother.

Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband, and their daughter, Constance Murphy and her grandson, William Glenn.

She is survived by her daughter Frances Monti (William) and is the grandmother of Christine, Jeanine, James, Richard and Jonathan. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren,9 nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, November 9th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 10th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY 10589.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Route 202, Somers, NY
