Dear Michael, and all of Joey's family, I am truly saddened to hear of Joey's passing. We were high school pals, so in and out of each others' lives for decades. I'm glad I made that memory book for her. She stared at the photos with such intensity, that I know they reached her. Though her passing saddens me, a part of me takes comfort that she is no longer suffering, and is finally at peace. Your entire family was so devoted to her. No matter what you thought about how much she did or did not 'know' about your presence - rest assured, that your love passed through - in your words, in your touch, with your kisses. Take comfort in knowing that you were there for her and she knew it. I hope that knowing this will help you through this difficult time. I am in Florida now, and won't be able to attend the services. Please know that my heart is with you all. Joey was lucky to have you. Love, Joan
