Obituary of Myra Ann Cypser

Myra Ann Cypser 68, of Spotsylvania VA, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg VA after a long illness. Myra was born on August 15, 1950 in Boston MA. She was a graduate of SUNY-Binghamton and Rutgers University, receiving her master’s degree in environmental science. Myra worked as a compliance and inspection officer for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington DC and also served as the president of that agency’s National Federation of Federal Employees Union, Local 2050, fighting for better air quality at the agency’s headquarters.  Myra was an enthusiastic blogger on topics ranging from environmental issues to theology and was also a creative keyboard player and composer.  She expressed her artistic ideas through a large portfolio of inspired computer drawings and mathematically based computer graphics.

 

Myra is the beloved daughter of Betty Cypser and the late Rudy Cypser of Katonah NY. She is the caring and fondly remembered sister of Beth Cypser Kim, Valery Cypser Keramaty, James Cypser, and Daniel Cypser; and the sister-in-law of Hyeong-il Kim and Shwu-Yar Tsai.  Myra will also be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews Emily Kim Riggs, Elisabeth Kim Oliver, Alison Kim, Robyn Keramaty, Mark Keramaty, Christopher Cypser, Nicole Cypser, Connor Cypser, and Kelsi Cypser.

 

Services were held for Myra at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah NY on Saturday, December 8th and she was laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, NY.
