Obituary of Ida Genovesi

Genovesi, Ida, 90, of Somers, NY, passed away on June 25, 2016. Ida was born in Casamari, Italy, on October 29, 1925 to Joseph and Nancy (Diamonti) Scarsella Ida was predeceased by Frank Sr., her beloved husband of 69 years, on May 3, 2016. Ida is survived by her loving children: Louise Perucci, Frank Jr. (Debbie) and Diana. Cherished grandmother of James and Robert Perucci, Jennifer and Mallory Genovesi and great grandmother of Matthew, Julianna, Benjamin and Henry Perucci. Dear sister of Viola Perucci, Edward Scarsella and the late Mafalda Palmerini. Ida’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was an avid Yankee fan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Mount Kisco, NY. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to American Heart Association.
