Obituary of Helen S. Heller

Helen S. Heller, 95, of Armonk, NY, formerly of Yonkers, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday May 18, 2019.

Helen was born on March 8, 1924 to Michael and Mary Olear Sabol in Yonkers.  She graduated from of Katherine Gibbs in New York City in 1943.

Helen was Secretary and Administrative Assistant at American Optical Co, Radiomarine Corp, American Can Co and Readers Digest.

On October 4, 1952, she married Julius Heller in St. Bartholomew’s Church in Yonkers NY. They enjoyed 66 years together.

A lifetime parishioner of St. Nicholas of Myra and a member of their Ladies Guild.

Helen is survived by her loving husband, Julius and sister Beatrice Sabol.  Along with three sons: Paul (Shirley) of Duluth MN, Michael (Cindy) of Auburn WA, and Stephen (Lilian) of Gt. Barrington, MA, and a daughter: Elaine Cottle (Donald) of Hopewell Junction NY.  She has nine beautiful grandchildren and eight wonderful great grandchildren.  She was a beloved and cherished mother, grandmother and aunt. She was predeceased by her three brothers, George, Eugene and Thomas.

Visitation will be at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah, NY on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm.  A Panachida will be held at 6pm.

Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at 10:30am at St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church 768 North Street White Plains NY.  Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers NY.
